About the role
We are looking for a Junior Cloud Developer to join the Optimization as a Service (OaaS) team within the Software Engineering & Advanced Technology department. This cross-functional team of talented engineers is leading the transition towards cloud-native solutions, as Jeppesen now transitions their products from on-prem to the AWS cloud. This role involves close collaboration with multiple teams, therefore we are looking for you who is outgoing, enjoys helping others, and really thrives in a team environment.
You will work in a technology stack designed for modern cloud-native development, embracing a DevOps culture with continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Examples of the technologies you will work with are GitOps, AWS services, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, and more.
Some responsibilities for the team
- Develop cloud-based services to support Jeppesen’s Planning Solutions product
- Enhance deployment infrastructure and security
- Build tools and applications to improve customer interaction
- Support the transition to a cloud-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with teams across Software Development, Support, Sales, and Customer Solutions to define and shape the SaaS product
Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
- Strong interest in cloud development and modern software engineering
- Proficiency in programming, preferably in Python
- Basic Linux knowledge
- Fluent in English
Bonus skills
- Experience working with AWS, Terraform, and microservices architecture
- Interest/knowledge of cloud security

During the yearly talent program, you will be employed by Hubbau and work as a consultant in your specific role at Jeppesen. After that, the ambition is that your journey instead turns into employment directly at Jeppesen.
