Entry Level DevOps Engineer

The role
We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to Jeppesen that can help develop and improve services to support the internal developer teams.
At the Jeppesen office in central Gothenburg, Sweden you will work in a one-of-a-kind software development organization with fascinating solutions that make a real difference to people around the world. You will be working in an agile learning organization, surrounded by a team of talented, creative and dedicated colleagues. You will learn and broaden your perspective by working with 400 professionals from more than 30 different nations but also be part of a global organization allowing for collaboration with customers and colleagues across the world.
Typical work tasks:
- Develop and maintain infrastructure in Kubernetes and AWS
- Develop and maintain cloud-based CI/CD solutions
- Interact with and support other development teams and developers
The team
The position is with the Voyagers team - a platform team which develops the CI/CD platform in AWS for DAS (one of the products within the Jeppesen portfolio).
They are today using CI/CD solutions based on e.g. GitLab, EKS, Terraform and more. As a cloud team they are streamlining the on-boarding of developer teams’ SaaS solution.
You will be part of a highly qualified and experienced team developing vital structures for our products going into the cloud. Using tools such as GitLab, terraform, Kubernetes as well as python and bash scripts.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code
- Work tightly within the team, often with pair and mob programming
- Building out the platform in collaboration with Application teams, based on their needs
Qualifications:
We believe you have an analytical approach to problem solving, good communication skills both within and outside your team and an interest in technology as well as human relations. We also think you are driven, committed, have a positive attitude and are comfortable with continuous team growth and having fun.
- Recent graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant area.
- A broad technical interest and strong Python programming skills
- Interest in IaC, DevOps and DevSecOps
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
Bonus skills:
- Experience in cloud technologies, for example AWS services, terraform, EKS, docker and/or similar
- Good knowledge and skills in using Linux
