We are looking for a motivated and curious Platform Engineer to join one of our internal cloud platform teams at Jeppesen ForeFlight. In this role you will learn how to build, operate, and secure the foundation that makes it easy for our product teams to run their applications securely and efficiently in AWS.

Jeppesen ForeFlight´s internal cloud platform consists of two closely collaborating teams that we are now strengthening with an entry level position. You will join a highly qualified and experienced team that owns the core building blocks of our internal cloud platform. We value high code quality, security-first thinking, thorough testing and close collaboration. The team is supportive and used to helping people grow quickly.
Based on your interests and skill set, you´ll be placed in one of the two teams outlined below and you will work with: GitHub, Terraform, AWS, InfraWeave, Backstage, ArgoCD, Istio, Rust, Python, and Linux.
Team Forerunners – Platform CD & CIAM Responsible for ~50 enterprise-grade Terraform modules (VPC, EKS, ALB/NLB, RDS, EFS, SNS, SQS, etc.), component & integration testing, CIAM solutions (Auth0), GitOps with ArgoCD, Istio, and close collaboration with CloudOps on the AWS Landing Zone.
Team X-Force – Platform Tooling Develops and maintains our internal fork of the open-source project InfraWeave, contributes back to the community, handles observability & security of the control plane, and operates our Backstage developer portal.
Position responsibilities (what you will learn and do):
Learn to develop and maintain Terraform modules for AWS services together with senior engineers
Write and run component and integration tests
Collaborate with product teams to understand their needs and improve developer experience
Contribute to our InfraWeave fork and Backstage portal
Help ensure observability, security and reliability of the platform
Work with GitHub, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), ArgoCD, Istio and modern observability tools
Participate in pair and mob programming sessions daily
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in English, spoken and written, Swedish is a bonus
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Genuine interest in DevOps, Platform Engineering, cloud technologies and automation
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent (or close to finishing)
Preferred Qualifications
We believe you have an analytical approach to problem solving and a strong willingness to learn. We think you are driven, committed, have a positive attitude and are comfortable in a growing in an international environment.
It is a big plus (but not required) if you have:
Some experience with Terraform, AWS, Docker or Kubernetes (from personal projects, thesis, or internship)
Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.)
Interest in Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, open source, or developer platforms

After that, the ambition is that your journey instead turns into employment directly at Jeppesen Foreflight.
